This page will guide you through cancelling your trip with Byways and Backroads.
Please read carefully before confirming your cancellation.
Cancelling your participation in the Byways & Backroads – Ireland Private Group Program (2026) has financial consequences that cannot be reversed once processed.
The $1,000 USD per person deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances, regardless of promotional or discounted pricing.
Refund eligibility depends strictly on how far in advance of departure your written cancellation is received:
90 days or more prior to departure: Payments made beyond the non-refundable deposit may be refundable, subject to recoverable supplier costs.
60–89 days prior to departure: You may receive a refund equal to 50% of the total tour price.
Fewer than 60 days prior to departure: No refunds are available.
Payments are used to secure accommodations, transportation, guides, and other supplier commitments that are often non-recoverable once made.
Promotional, discounted, or event-only pricing does not alter cancellation terms, refund eligibility, or the non-refundable nature of the deposit.
Travel insurance is required, but it does not change or override these cancellation and refund policies.
Once the tour has begun, no refunds are issued for any reason, including early departure, interruption, or dissatisfaction.
If you proceed with cancellation:
Your reservation will be cancelled effective immediately.
Any applicable refund will be calculated strictly according to the Terms & Conditions.
Reinstatement is not guaranteed, may require full payment plus a reinstatement fee, and is not permitted within 14 days of departure.
By proceeding, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and accept the cancellation consequences described above, including that promotional pricing does not affect refund eligibility.
